To open week 15 of the Sheffield Darts Franchise League we're at the University Arms as two teams who are locked together on 30 points go head to head as the Academicals take on the Aces.
It was the Aces Mick Smith who started the night well as he recorded a maximum against opponent Conall Doughty on his way to a win in three to get the Aces off the mark.
Academicals hit back quickly in game two as Stephen Godfrey took control of the match against Ian Speed which secured him another 3-0 win.
In game three it was the Uni lads who took the lead through Adam Warner in another contest that finished by the same 3-0 scoreline against Danny Wilks with Warner taking out a 135 finish in the process to put the Uni in front.
It didn't take long for the Aces to pull it level again in the final singles as Trevor Tye took out Ste Smith in also in three legs for the fourth consecutive match to draw the scores level at two each.

In the opening pairs saw Smith and Speed get took to a decider against Warner and Will Pollard as it was the Aces duo who held their nerve to make it 3-2 and give the Aces a chance of victory.
It wasn't to be though this time for the Aces as Ben Tomlinson and partner Godfrey rescued a draw for the Academicals after taking out duo Steven Caley and Tye in two to finish the night all square at 3-3 which kept the team's level on points in the table.
801 League

To finish it was a close 801 match which saw Aces Speed, Tye and Smith win it by a 16 point margin over Warner, Tomlinson and Smith.

We're up at the Woodbourne Hotel in a match which saw third place Panthers looking to put pressure on second place face a Cutlers side who sit mid-table but aren't too far off tonight's opponents.
It was the Cutlers who went ahead through Matt Pryor as he recorded a 3-0 win over Pat Meeson taking out a 21 dart leg to win the game.
In a close battle in the game saw Stuart Halliwell take a 2-0 lead over Richard Honeyman, but Honeyman hit back recorded a maximum on his way to tie the scores at two each but Halliwell held out as he won the decider to make it two for the Cutlers.
Panthers started to make a comeback through Russ Simons which saw him take out legs of 20 and a 21 as well as a 180 to defeat Darren Daly in three legs.
Micky Hulley and Peter Bell went all the way in the final singles as each throw went with the darts as Bell took out a 21 dart leg in the fourth to keep him in the game but Hulley won the last leg shootout to make it two each going into the pairs.

In the pairs it was the Cutlers team who gave themselves the best possible chance of victory as Peter Bell and Sam Bowers won the decider against Honeyman and Chris Keane to make the score 3-2. In the deciding pairs game duo Simons and Hulley rescued a draw for the Panthers in a 2-0 win over Daly and Pryor to make the final score all square.
801 League

In a tight 801 match Panthers' Keane, Simons and Hulley won the contest by 8 points over Millson, Halliwell and Bowers to end the night.
Railwaymen 6-0 Bears

Pete Bramley 3-2 Brian Jones
Gavin Pilling 3-0 Mick Wood
Next up we're at the Station as the Railwaymen who sit in second place before tonight face a struggling Bears team who are at the opposite end of the table placed in second bottom and with the team's above them pulling away they need to pick up points.
In the opener Bears captain Antonio Cruz got off to a good start taking the opening leg against Steve Brittle but then he couldn't improve on it as Brittle got himself back into the match and secured a win in four.
Up next Alan Jackson made it two for the home side as he strolled to victory against Pat Finney recording a 19 darter in the process to make it two for the Railwaymen.
In the third singles the Bears needed to get something as Brian Jones took on Pete Bramley in a game which saw every leg go with throw as Bramley took out legs of 18 and a 17 darter to secure the win in the decider to make it three for his team.
Railwaymen's Gavin Pilling wrapped up the win early doors as he took out Mick Wood without conceding a leg taking the last leg out in 20 darts to make it four.

In the doubles, Railwaymen kept ploughing on as Pilling and Brittle won 2-0 over Jones and Cruz and in the other pairs Bears duo Wood and Finney managed an equaliser in their game with Bramley and Jackson but it was the Railwaymen pair who secured the whitewash which tightened their grip on second place.
801 League

Bears finally had something to cheer in the triples as Finney, Cruz and Wood sneaked a 5 point victory over Bramley, Jackson and Pilling to round off the contest.

In the final game of the week we're at the Midland as the Warriors who are rooted to the bottom take on a Wolves team who lie in fifth place six points off second place.
Up first Wolves captain Pete Daffin hit a 21 darter against opponent Ian Webster on his way to a cruising 3-0 win to get his team off to a perfect start.
In the second singles "Hero" Steve Newton managed to pull the team's level as he defeated Laura Taylor in three legs of darts.
It was the Wolves who went back in front through M. Bower who started off with a 16 dart leg against Barry Brittle and Brittle had no answer back as Bower went on to secure a 3-0 win.
Warriors captain Paul Brittle equalised for the second time for his side through a win in three over Kevin Bird heading into the pairs with it all to play for.

It was the Wolves that gave themselves a chance of the win as Daffin and Taylor recorded a 2-0 win over the Brittle's Angela and Paul. In the final singles the Wolves managed to pull off the win as Bower and Bird secured the victory in another win in two over Newton and Webster.
801 League
Nicola Warne/Steve Newton/Barry Brittle 781-801 Pete Daffin/Kevin Bird/M. Bower
Wolves managed to win the triples too through Daffin, Bird and Bower as they wrapped up a 20 points victory over Nicola Warne, Newton and Barry Brittle to complete the weeks action.
