SUPER DAFFS TAKES SFL SINGLES CHAMPIONSHIP

Super Daffs takes the Red Dragon Darts SFL Singles Championship

It was some competition that had seen Panthers Star Peter Daffin into the last four along with Former world champion John Walton,PDC and Yorkshire star Trevor Burkhill both from the Black Eagles and the man of the season Mick Swift who has transformed the Vulcans and risen them from the Ashes. All four men had battled into the semi finals with some decisive performances seeing off John Lieber,Micky Stocks and Mick Hulley and also the reigning champion Ryan Goffin in the last 8.Mick Swift was first up against Pete Daffin and hitting a 15 dart leg and a selection of 100+ shots he raced into a 3-1 lead and looking like he and his team have done all season and do it against the odds and although Mick never let up Super Daffs Pete Daffin came back with 3x16 legs to edge passed Mick Swift to make his first SFL singles final. The other semi final was amazing and had everything with ton plus out shots 4 180s between them which saw John race into a 2-0 lead before Trevor came back at him to level the game with a 12 dart leg and miss a chance to go 3-2 up before John went ahead again and then rattled in a 12 dart leg with the arrows and record a 109 average with Trev not too shabby in the 90s and  to set up a mouth watering final between two of the best players the region has ever produced.Pete won the arrows and basically kept strong on throw all the way while John beat the treble 20 bed into submission hitting 5x180s in the final including a 12 to level the game at 4-4.In the last leg John forged ahead with another maximum and was left sitting on a double with Pete trailing but then took out a sweet three dart finish on the bull to take the Singles championship for the Wolves. It was arguably as good as any singles competition seen to date.Brilliant and entertaining.
