A fresh week and a new round of opponents with current league leaders Cue Ball watching very closely as they enter their first bye week
Headquarters is where we start as the Woodbourne derbies continue to excite.
First up was stand in captain Curtis Thorpe as he looked to put his team 1-0 unfortunately Steven “Stiggy” Caley (20) proved to be too strong and won the game 3-1 with a 20 darter to close the game
Next up was Pat Meeson who cruised out into a 2-0 lead against James Thomas, before Tank snatched the victory by taking the next three legs to win 3-2
Mick Hulley was in a battle of sizes as he came out a little short losing 3-1 to “Big” Glynn Harris (21)
Stand in Russ Simmons (19) started the comeback for the panthers as he beat Alex “Bernie” Sproston (120 c/o) 3-1 with a 19-dart leg in the last followings Bernie’s 120 checkout in the previous leg

Waller/Cliffe 2-1 Caley/Harris Simmons/Thorpe 2-0 Thomas/Sproston
Waller and Cliffe took it to the last leg to get the 2-1 win over Caley and Harris
Simmons and Thorpe secured the last leg for The Panthers against Thomas and Sproston ensuring it was Honours even on the night

The Warriors and Stallions are both looking to get their first win of the season in a game that they both would fancy their chances in
Captain Paul Brittle was first up and made sure he got his team the first point on the board as he beat Colin Johnson 3-1
Martin Baugh quickly put the hosts on level terms against Angie Brittle with a quick 3-0 victory
Ian Webster put the hosts back in front as he used a bit of wizardry against Stu Tunstill to win 3-1
Sie Simmons then levelled it up at 2-2 as he beat Barry Brittle 3-0

Paul and Angie Brittle tried to get the home side in front again but couldn’t get the job done against Simmons and Tunstill

The Railway men look to stop The Aces going top of the league as they continue their own push for the league title
Geoff Higgs (180,19) got the home side to a great start with a 3-0 victory over Lee Cropper with a max and a 19-dart leg in the second
Pete Bramley took the first leg before Mick Smith took the next three to win 3-1
Gav pilling came from 2-0 down to tie it up at 2-2 before Becky Hoyland saw out the last leg using the advantage of the throw to win 3-2
Ryan Goffin (16) beat Trev Tye in the last singles 3-0 with a 16 darter in the last to close out the game

Jackson/Higgs 1-2 Tye/Cropper Goffin/Bramley 2-1 Smith/Hoyland
The pairs both went to the wire with a 2-1 scoreline
Jackson and Higgs came up against Tye and Cropper and it was the away side pairing who had both lost in their singles game, managing to make amends and take the win
Finally, Goffin and Bramley beat a dynamic duo in Smith and Hoyland to level it all up on the night 3-3

With all the other games resulting in draws off we go to The University Arms for the only win of the evening
Conal Doughty (20) came from 2-0 down to beat Kieron Potts (17) 3-2 Potts started off with a 17 darter before taking the second, Doughty then came into life took the next two before hitting a 20 in the deciding leg
Nathan Hennessy took the first leg against Mick Bowers (180,18) before mick the next three legs hitting a max and an 18 darter in the last to win 3-1
Ste Smith and Laura Taylor played a game of hold your throw as they played out a 5-leg thriller with Laura winning 3-2
Adam Warner beat Chris Keane in the final game 3-0 to tie the game up going into the interval
Pairs
Warner/Hennessy 2-1 Potts/Keane Hopkins/Godfrey 2-1 Taylor/Bowers
Warner and Hennessy took on Potts and Keane and came out 2-1 victors
Last up was Hopkins and Godfrey who took on Taylor and Bowers unfortunately for the wolves they couldn’t replicate their singles form and lost to the home side 2-1 resulting in a 4-2 win for The Academicals
