The first week of the overtime season see’s The Wolves back in action, The Wombles in the top four and The Panthers on top spot.

Paul “Bomber” Harris (21) went up first against Steven “Stiggy” Caley, Caley took the first leg before Harris quickly found himself 2-1 up. Caley then took the next two to win the match 3-2
Next up was Carl Farnsworth against Glynn Harris (20), Farnsworth took the first two legs and had match darts in the third before Harris took the next three legs to win 3-2 with a 20 dart leg in the fourth leg.
Bri Jones was up next against James Thomas (17,180) with history looking to repeat itself as Jones went 2-0 up, Thomas took the third leg with a 17 darter, before tying the game up at 2-2 Jones then took the last to put the hustlers a point on the board
Nigel Ikin was up last for The Hustlers, he took on Mick Swift but came off the worse side of a 3-0 defeat ensuring The Wombles wouldn’t be beaten going in to the pairs

Ikin and Farnsswoth lost out 2-1 to Harris and Swift to give The Wombles the victory, before Harris and Jones beat Caley and Thomas 2-1.

Mick Bower came out with the same scoreline against Anne Simmons
Laura Taylor beat Wayne Pike 3-1, Taylor took the first leg before Pike replied to make it 1-1 before Taylor took the next two to make it 3-0 on the night
Chris Keane was up last against Martin Baugh unfortunately for Keane, Baugh’s arrows were going where they was supposed to as he won 3-0

Angie Brittle couldn’t use her womanly charms as she lost out to Russ Simmons 3-0

The pairs both went in the way of a 2-1 away side victory with Webster and A Brittle losing out to Cruz and Thorpe who made the throw count by taking the decider. The Brittles took the first leg before Waller and Hulley took the next two to ensure they left with maximum points

Pete Bramley was up first against Conal Doughty (14,18,180,100c/o), Bramley was up against it from the beginning as Doughty hit a 14 darter, Doughty took the next before Bramley took the third, Doughty then finished off with an 18 darter to claim the game
Alan Jackson lost out 3-0 to Ste Smith putting the visitors 2-0 up
Ryan Goffin (16,17,21 180x3) was in fine form as he beat L Grey 3-0 in 54 darts 21,17,16 and a trio of maximums across the night
Gav Pilling beat Ritesh Deo 3-0 with a 20 dart leg in the last to tie it up at 2-2 on the night

As we enter the last week of the regular season the top 4 are still battling it out for top spot, whilst a big win for the Wombles puts them in with an outside chance of a top two finish following their perfect game against the warriors without dropping a single leg in their 6-0 victory.

Next up was Conal Doughty (18,19) against Bri Jones20) (16, Jones took the first in 16 darts before Doughty hit back in 18 then 19 darts to go 2-1 up, Jones then took the fourth leg to tie it up before breaking Doughty’s throw in the decider with a 20 dart leg in a cracker,
Nathan Hennessey beat Nigel Ikin (180) 3-1 with Ikin hitting a max
Adam Warner (15,112c/o) beat Lee Cushworth 3-1 with a 15 darter in the last leg to tie the game at 2-2 going into the pairs

A new month a new round of opponents as the league’s top four are all jostling for top spot. We start off in Chapeltown as previous league leaders The Hustlers look to try and keep their unbeaten at home streak going.
First up was Bri Jones as he took on Ritesh Deo, Jones came out a 3-0 victor, getting the hosts off to a perfect start
Next up was Paul Harris (20) against Joe Hopkins, Harris won 3-0 with a 20 dart leg to put the hosts 2-0 up
The game of the evening goes down to Nigel Ikin and Conal Doughty (16,19x2), Ikin took the first before Doughty took the next three legs in 19,16,19 dart legs respectively to put the first point on the board for the Academicals
Lee Cushworth was up last for the hosts against Adam Warner(17,18) unfortunately it went in the way of the away side with Warner winning 3-1 and a 17 and 18 dater along the way to tie the game at 2-2 going into the pairs
