Week 3 kicked off with the All Stars taking on Railwaymen with both teams defending their 100% starts to the season. Dave Copley set the ball rolling hitting a 21 followed by a 16 dart leg in his 3-0 victory over Gav Pilling to put the All Stars in front then Carl Wilkinson doubled the lead starting his game with a 19 dart leg, then going better with a 17 and wrapped up a convincing victory over Mark Gurran with another 19 darter also including 2 maximums which Gurran couldn't cope with Wilkinson's high scoring. Third up was "Dynamite" Darren Johnson up against "The Messiah" Brian Lewis which looked a close game to call. "The Messiah" started brightly taking the first leg but then Dynamite stepped up a gear hitting a 17 to level the scores then taking out a 142 checkout and a 19 dart leg to put Lewis under pressure. In the 4th and final leg Daz finished the game off hitting a steady 18 darter to win the game 3-1 and give his team a 3-0 lead. The fourth game kicked off with Tom Gurran knowing he needs a win to keep his side in the game up against Tony Harper. Gurran started off brightly with a maximum but he couldn't manage to get a leg on the board as Harper kept his cool on the doubles getting himself a 19 dart leg in the second and then rounding the match off in the third to run out a 3-0 winner and put his team 4 up with 2 to play. Tony Hull was up next for the home side and he gave a man of the match performance in his 3-0 victory over Pete Bramley which saw him clinch it in two 14 dart legs and winning the game with a 15 darter which left Bramley with nowhere to hide. In the final match of the night Terry Temple threw some solid darts in his comfortable victory over Jordan Payne.

The Warriors travelled to the Academicals searching for their first points of the season and what a battle it turned out to be as Danny Hall starting proceedings with a 3-0 victory over Angie Brittle to give his Academicals side a 1-0 lead. But then Ian Webster hit back for the Warriors as he sailed past Oli Newall by the same 3-0 scoreline. As the third match got underway with the score poised a 1-1 Academicals Jonny Kirk faced Warriors Nicola Warne with a chance to put either of their side in front, Kirk managed to pinch a leg but that's all he got as Warne helped herself to a 3-1 victory to put the Warriors in front for the first time on the night. Their was more to come in this bruising battle as Declan Parsons equalised for the Academicals against Steve Newton with the first 2 legs shared Parsons notched up a gear and got a 3-1 victory for his team. In the penultimate tie of the match it was the battle of the captains as Ed McCosh faced up to the new Warriors captain Barry Brittle and it was Ed who took the honours with a comfortable 3-0 victory to guarantee his side a point but their was more to come in the final match where former captain Paul Brittle played Adam Warner with a chance to level the match on the night, It was Brittle that started the brighter taking the first 2 legs with Warner threatening a comeback in the third, Brittle held out and won the game 3-1 and achieving the share of the spoils for his Warriors team.

It was a Woodbourne derby over in S9 as the Black Eagles looking defend their 100% start against a Wolves team still looking for their first game win of the season and it was a perfect start for the Black Eagles as Greg Beard and Tom Briggs powered through Ricardo Cruz and Pat Finney with both game finishing by a 3-0 scoreline. In the third game John Smethurst threatened a comeback when he took the first leg over Dave Hemsworth but then after Hemsworth levelled the scoring he put his foot on the gas and rattled in a 17 followed by a 19 dart leg to win the game and put his side 3 up with 3 to play. In the fourth game of the night it was a family affair which saw "Ice" young Owen Cubitt taking on his "Nan" Sue "Sue, Sue, Sue" Edwards in what turned out closer than what many people expected, first Owen took the first leg in what looked like it was going to be a routine win for the youngster then Sue Edwards managed to equalise in the second leg to tie the game up 1-1 but after that Cubitt manage to steady himself and hold his nerve together as he took the next 2 legs to win the tie 3-1 and put Black Eagles in an unassailable 4-0 lead. Next up was Wolves captain John Edwards looking to get anything for his Wolves side but he was facing a major task against Tony "The Tiger" Darlow as it proved when Darlow kicked off the game with a 17 dart leg, then he followed with a 20 but he saved his best leg until last when he took out a 16 darter leaving Edwards with no answer to his opponents brilliantly consistent darts. In the final match of the night saw young star Charlie Stocks face Steve Naisbitt looking to complete the rout for his team. Stocks started brightly taking the first 2 legs but as Naisbitt won in the third leg he threatened to turn the game around but to no avail as cool Charlie confidently won the 4th to win the game 3-1 and on the night give his team the 6-0 victory and keep the 100% record.

An under strength Aces team travelled to the Milton in search of the first win of the season and they started brightly when Rich Swainston hammered in an 18 dart leg against opponent Gav Markham to take the lead, Markham replied in kind finishing off the second leg to level the score. In the third leg Swainston put himself back in front keeping the darts with a 19 darter. Gav Markham then fired home a 180 and capitalised on that to take the match to a decider where we saw Swainston fire home another 18 darter to win the game 3-2 in a cracker of a first game. Magic's Steve Marfleet was next up against Trev Tye and it was Tye who got out of the blocks first hitting a 21 darter but Marfleet made it 1 a piece with a cool 14 dart leg, Steve then followed up in the third with a 19 to take a 2-1 lead and then he finished off the game hitting the winning double to win 3-1 and levelling the score at 1-1. Captain Chris Markham was next on against Mick Smith in what was a crucial game, it started with Smith taking the lead, then Markham kept his throw to make it 1 each, in the 3rd leg, Smith piled on the pressure with a 21 darter and then he finished off Markham in the fourth to give his team a 2-1 lead with just 2 to play. In the final 2 games of the night so a Magic fight back from 2-1 down, Lester Bowers started it off taking out Rebecca Toomay 3-0, then in the final match of the night Paul Harris sailed home for his team taking out Dawn Willis also by a 3-0 scoreline to give Magic a 4-2 victory.

Panthers and Sausages squared up at Woodbourne Hotel both putting their 100% starts on the line. We kick things off with Andre Van Bilderbeek in fine form starting with a 21 dart leg and an high finish of 80 to romp home 3-0 against "Tiny" Mark Ellis. In match 2 Ben "Boom" Beardmore showed very good consistency against Panthers' John Leiber after taking the first leg, "Boom" then fired in an 18 darter to go 2 in front but after a mini fight back from Leiber, Beardmore finished off with another 18 dart leg and a high finish of 76 to win 3-1 and level the score on the night. Mick Wood was up next against Sausages' Matt Pryor and Pryor got out of the blocks well hitting an 18 darter in the first leg to ease any nerves and he didn't look back after that as he hit an 74 finish and took control of the match winning 3-0 and Mick Wood didn't have an answer to Pryor's form on the night. With the scores 2-1 to Sausages "The Landlord" Pete Bell toed the oche facing a tough game against Russ Simons as it proved with Simons claiming the first leg with an 18 darter but battling Bell weren't going to lie down as he took the next 2 legs to put himself in front, after an equalising 4th leg from Simons it was Bell who won the decider to put his team 3-1 up with 2 to play. In another cracker of a game that this league is producing Ryan Goffin faced Stephen Ewington and Ewington showed what he is capable of starting with a 21 dart leg, Goffin then hit back with a maximum and a 16 darter to level the scores but then Stephen fired home a solid 18 and a high finish of 90 to go back in front. Goffin weren't finished yet as he levelled the scores once again to make this tussle go into a decider, Ewington reeled off a 19 dart leg to win the game 3-2 in another barnstorming game. In the final match of the night Ben Dolman put the icing on the cake for the Sausages winning his first game of the league as he ran out a comfortable winner over Mick Hulley to give The Sausages a tasty 5-1 victory.

The night at Frecheville started with a tense first match between Antony Warne and Lee Slack with every dart going against the throw. Warne started off with a 17 darter and a max to take the first leg of the night but Slack responded and levelled the scores, Warne then hit another 180 and took a 2-1 lead as he tried to keep Slack at bay. Lee hit back with a maximum of his own and with the scores at 2-2, Warne held out and hit the decisive double to give his team the advantage early doors. In the second game the Vulcans showed what they're capable of as Steve Stacey fired a steady 17, then getting a maximum followed by a 14 dart leg has he took victory over Gregory. Daz Layden showed good form as he took off with a 180 then achieving 16 and 17 darters as he ran riot over Simmons to put his side 3 up. In the fourth game saw Russ Lockwood confidently despatch Mandy Slack with a max and finishing in 18 darts then followed that up by hitting a 21 dart leg to give the Vulcans a 4-0 lead with 2 to play. Chris Grey was next up for the Vulcans as he took on Tony Cosil trying to keep the teams winning run going and he did emphatically running out 3-0 winner. In the final match of the night saw Matthew Grey take on young Michael Slack and when Grey took the first leg it seemed a foregone conclusion but Slack equalised in the second leg throwing some good darts but Grey was no match as he took the last 2 and winning the game with a 21 dart finish to give the Vulcans a 6-0 victory.
