A new month a new round of opponents as the league’s top four are all jostling for top spot. We start off in Chapeltown as previous league leaders The Hustlers look to try and keep their unbeaten at home streak going.
First up was Bri Jones as he took on Ritesh Deo, Jones came out a 3-0 victor, getting the hosts off to a perfect start
Next up was Paul Harris (20) against Joe Hopkins, Harris won 3-0 with a 20 dart leg to put the hosts 2-0 up
The game of the evening goes down to Nigel Ikin and Conal Doughty (16,19x2), Ikin took the first before Doughty took the next three legs in 19,16,19 dart legs respectively to put the first point on the board for the Academicals
Lee Cushworth was up last for the hosts against Adam Warner(17,18) unfortunately it went in the way of the away side with Warner winning 3-1 and a 17 and 18 dater along the way to tie the game at 2-2 going into the pairs

Cushworth/Ikin 2-0 Smith/Warner
Harris and Jones beat Godfrey and Scott 2-0 to ensure the unbeaten streak would continue before Cushworth and Ikin beat Smith and Warner 2-1 give the home side the victory

The Aces we’re looking to go back top whilst The Panthers who was on top spot going onto the game we’re looking to keep their current position
Lee Cropper took on the new look Antonio Cruz, the result went in the home teams favour courtesy of a 3-0 victory for Cropper
Ian Speed lost 3-1 to Curtis Thorpe to make it 1-1 on the night
Mick Smith (180) beat Dave Cliffe 3-0 to put the hosts in front again
Becky Hoyland (20) was up last against Trevor Burkhill (19,125c/o), unfortunately Burkhill showed too much as she went down (3-1)

Tye and Smith put The Aces in front for the final time of the evening beating Cliffe and Cruz 2=0 before The Panthers pairing of Burkhill and Thorpe tied it up with a 2-0 victory over Hoyland and Cropper making it 3-3 on the night

The Railway men look to distance themselves from the rest of the league as they take on the second best team in Rotherham The Stallions
Pete Bramley (20,21) faced off against Martin Baugh and came out 3-1 up courtesy of a 20 and 21 dart leg
Geoff Higgs (21) beat Wayne Pike 3-0 with a 21 darter along the way
Ryan Goffin (16) beat Captain Sie Simmons 3-0 with a 16 darter in the second leg before Captain Gav Pilling beat Steve Tunstill by the same scoreline 3-0

Pilling/Bramley 2-0 A Simmons/S Simmons
The pairs both went in the way of a 2-0 home side victory with Jackson and Higgs beating Pike and Johnson before Pilling and Bramley ensured they would get all 6 by beating the Simmons’

The Wombles were looking for maximum points to start their ascent up the table against The Warriors who are looking to get as many points on the board as possible
Barry Brittle was up first against James Thomas, Tank won 3-0 getting the away side the result they wanted
Ian Webster (17) pushed Glynn Harris (20,180) to a last leg decider despite going 2-0 down forcing Harris into a 20 dart leg to win the game
Angie Brittle lost 3-0 to Steven Caley despite her glorious 162 on the 18’s to put the pressure on in the third leg
Paul Brittle lost in a last leg decider to Mick Swift despite going 2-0 up, when it looked like Brittle was going to take it 3-0 swift kicked in and took the next 3 legs

Both the pairs went in 2-0 favour of The Wombles with Swift and Sproston beating the Brittles and Caley and Harris taking out Barry Brittle and Webster
