Red Dragon Sheffield Franchise League Memorial Qualifiers

In this week's darts action it was the Memorial Qualifiers where each team's individuals and pairs were playing against each other for a place in the finals where they will represent their team.
Academicals
Singles- Greg Batting
Pairs- N/A
We start with the Academicals side which saw Greg Batting win the singles over his team-mates with the pairs taking place at a later date.
Aces
Singles- Andy Umney
Pairs- Andy Umney/Ian Speed
Over at the Newbold the Aces team saw Andy Umney take the spoils in the singles and he was also involved in the pairs winners alongside Ian Speed.
Black Eagles
Singles- John Walton
Pairs- John Walton/Trevor Burkhill
In the battle of the champions it was former World Champ John Walton who took the glory in a high quality final against Trevor Burkhill and both of these men went on to take the pairs too.
Hawks
Singles- Stephen Ewington
Pairs- Stephen Ewington/Dawn Priestley
Representing the Hawks on finals night will be Stephen Ewington and he will also be in the Pairs too alongside partner Dawn Priestley who played well all night.
Panthers
Singles- Ryan Goffin
Pairs- Russ Simons/John Schultz
Back at the Woodbourne it was "The Manic" Ryan Goffin who took the glory for the Panthers as Russ Simons and John Schultz took the pairs.
Pirates
Singles- Simon Simmons
Pairs- Simon Simmons/Anne Lofthouse
Players Bar Pirates were competitive as Simon Simmons recorded a 13 darter and a maximum on his way to securing his place on finals night as Anne Lofthouse joins him as his pairs partner.
Railwaymen
Singles- Martin Scott
Pairs- Steve Marfleet/Brian Lewis
Over at the Station some quality darts were on show all night as eight maximums were recorded between the players, 14 dart legs and some ton plus finished thrown in for good measure which just showed the standard of play between the team-mates as Martin Scott achieved glory taking out Steve Marfleet in the final 4-1 but their were some consolation for Marfleet as he won the pairs with "The Messiah" Brian Lewis.
Vulcans
Singles- Mark Barnes
Pairs- Mick Swift/Jim Smith
Over at Frecheville it was Mark Barnes celebrating as he secured his place in the finals after taking out Mick Smith 3-1 in the semis he then went on to win Phil Lambert who earlier defeated Jim Smith to reach the final.
It was Swift and Smith who won the pairs competition and they too will join the final party.
Wades
Singles- Tom Sawford
Pairs- Lester Bowers/Lee Siddle
It was "Shooter's" night for the Wades team as Tom Sawford defeated a tough field to qualify for the finals as did Lester Bowers and Lee Siddle in the pairs.
Warriors
Singles- Steven Newton
Pairs- Steven Newton/Nicola Warne
At the Midland, the Warriors team battled it out as "Hero" Steve Newton qualified to the singles finals and he will also partner Nicola Warne for the Pairs too.
Wolves
Singles- Pete Daffin
Pairs- Pete Daffin/Dave Cliffe
Wolves captain "Super Daff's" Pete Dafffin showed his team-mates how it's done after winning all before him to qualify for the finals and also taking the pairs comp with Dave Cliffe.
